Researchers from Stanford University, Prof. Dr. John P. A. Ioannidis, K. W. Boyack ve J. Baas, published an article titled “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” listing the best researchers in world.
The database created by the research team led by Dr. John PA Ioannidis created a database that includes the best scientist in the world’s top 2%, using standard citation indicators. the standard citation indicators used, were prepared taking into account citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. The database categorized scientists in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. Within the scope of the database created, two different rankings were created using career-long citation impact and 2019 citation impact.
In this context, Uşak University Faculty of Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering academic Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Caliskan has been eligible to enter the "Single Year Impact-2019" and "Career-long impact" lists prepared by considering the scientific publications that scientists have produced throughout their entire careers and the publications that they have made in 2019.
Accordingly, in the field of "Energy", he was ranked as 1268th (within the top %0.68) among 186,014 scientists in the ranking prepared according to the 2019 citation impact, while he was ranked as 3243th (within the top %1.74) in the ranking prepared according to career attribution effect among 186,014 scientists.
